Central Spartans 35, Bishop's Knights 17 — CIF-SDS D3 Quarterfinals

The Central Spartans hosted the Bishop's Knights at Cal Jones Field for a Division III second-round playoff battle. Bishop's came in as the No. 8 seed, led by senior QB and Indiana commit Cash Herrera, and took a 17-14 lead into halftime with a strong passing game.

But the second half belonged to Central.

The Spartan defense locked in, shutting out Bishop's the rest of the way while the offense scored on its opening drive and never looked back. Coach Rookie Peña and the Spartans now await the winner of University City vs. Madison.
