Recap Video: Calipatria vs. Holtville (Girls Wrestling Dual-Meet)
Holtville girls wrestling showed good composure in their matchup against Calipatria. This group wrestles with a lot of finesse, which isn’t surprising considering the tradition behind the program. The boys program has set the standard over the years, and the girls continue to build on that foundation.
Under head coach Joey Navarro and assistant coaches Joey Navarro Jr.,Mia Navarro the program is moving in the right direction. They’re disciplined, technical, and continue to improve.
With tournaments coming up, Holtville is a team to keep an eye on. We’re hoping to see these Holtville girls at Queen of the Mat. Like we said — this is a fun group to watch.
