Recap Video: Central vs. Imperial (Girls Basketball)
Imperial and Central Girls Basketball went back and forth in a competitive IVL matchup last night 🏀🔥
Imperial set the tone early, jumping out to an 18–9 lead after the first quarter. Central responded and made it a game by halftime, but Imperial maintained control with a 27–21 advantage at the break. The Lady Tigers continued to apply pressure in the third, stretching the lead to 37–29, and held on down the stretch to secure the 45–40 victory.
With the win, Imperial improves to 14–4 overall and stays undefeated in IVL play at 3–0, sitting alone in 1st place. Central drops to 10–6 overall and 1–1 in league, currently 3rd in the IVL standings.
Up next, both teams head to the MLK Showcase this weekend hosted by Santa Fe Christian. Imperial will face Torrey Pines tomorrow at 4:30 PM, while Central takes on Otay Ranch at 3:00 PM in the 1st round.
